The new Calaveras Transit System features more frequent buses on the main Red Line and improved connections with the feeder routes. Some segments of the feeder routes require advance calls to customer service at (209) 754-4450. Staff is happy to answer questions and help with travel planning.
- Wheelchairs and bicycles are accommodated on all buses and vans.
- Flag the bus! The bus will stop anywhere along the route that is safe. Call in advance to describe where you’ll be.
- Deviations up to 3/4 mile off the route can be requested for pick-up or drop-off. Deviations must be reserved at least two hours in advance.
- Service animals only.
|Bus passes may be purchased from the driver, by mail, or at the customer service center in San Andreas. Fares must be presented when boarding the bus. Drivers do not carry change or accept personal checks or credit cards. Discounted fares are available for people 65 and older and eligible persons with a disability.
Special Events: Transit service is available to everyone for these community events: County Fair, Mark Twain Wild West Fest, Big Trees Family Day, and the Mokelumne Hill Volunteer Firefighters 5k Run.
Holidays: Buses do not run on New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Holidays falling on weekends are observed on the nearest weekday.
